About
Welcome to the School of Real Estate at Nieves University!
This course is designed to equip our real estate broker students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully pass the pre-licensing examination.
Course Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Real Estate
Real Estate Salesperson License (90 hours):
To practice as a real estate Salesperson in Puerto Rico, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- Present a certificate of good conduct issued by the Puerto Rico Police, a state of the United States, or a foreign country, if applicable. This certificate should indicate that the individual has not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude in the five years preceding the application. This requirement can be fulfilled at any time before the Department of State-Puerto Rico Board issues the license. If the applicant meets this requirement after the license has been approved, and the certificate indicates convictions that disqualify the applicant from obtaining the license, the board may reject the application for non-compliance with this requirement.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a diploma or transcript of a minimum of sixty (60) university credits approved in institutions accredited or recognized by the PR Education Department or equivalent.
